Very cool Richard. Some of my early dates with my wife 30+ years ago was constructing buildings. Then, when we'd drive through town, she would comment on the architectural details on the buildings that she would have never noticed had she not help me put them together.

Hi Matt,
What an interesting family story about sharing.

A bit OT, but when I was young I used to photograph old buildings in Brisbane during my lunch hour - many are now gone.
My wife whom I met 12 year later, does however appreciate my train and hobby interests without getting involved.

regards
Kimball

While I was organizing my pictures I came across this picture of my BR 56. To make it better there should be more space in front of the locomotive, but still very nice.

I like this one too. The track seems to be a bit uneven halfway down the platform, or is it the platform itself? Anyway, I think it all helps add character to the scene.

Hi PJ, glad that you liked my photo! Smile
As for the metro line you refer - I'm sick of it, I use this line and stations twice a day! Scared
If to be serious - it's beautiful, and that engraving with loco crew is my fave ThumpUp (there are also many others around, you know)

To all: sorry for OT.

Hi!

Here´s a photo of my V200 loco on the track next to the loco shed.
It taken with my Iphone 6. I used a real fog generator (Hazer) to get increased depth. 30W LED ambient illumination and 60W in on the backdrop.'
I still have a lot of detailing on the layout to do, but I really liked how this Picture turned out. So here it is! Smile

I got a GoPro for Christmas. Here is my first video which is posted on Youtube: https://vimeo.com/205428220/8811b81c1f

The GoPro is a remarkable camera for both stills and video. Great sharpness and depth of field. Small size lends itself to photographing of model railroads. So ... welcome to my "Rainy Day Railroad" on Youtube

Hello Mr. Schundler,
That video is truly awesome!!! I liked the helicopter view and the passenger view a lot. Needless to mention the narration and the background music amplified the effectLove
It gave me lots of ideas as I'm building a layout which is close to 8ft X 4ft too.

I have a few that I like but none as a favorite.

The turntable picture is nice as it shows the scale of the roundhouse area and also shows the detail of a lovely BR 54 under the sanding tower by Christian Fuchs. I like the village scene lengthwise as you get to see the mainline meander past the village and curl past the golf course and cemetery. I like the men having lunch scene as it has lots of detail and there is clearly a good conversation going on.

Reporting live from Skycam 5: In Ventura, California a train collided with a classic Porsche 356 C today. The locomotive derailed, and the driver of the Porsche was evacuated via helicopter. Despite the long distances involved, DSB sent a classic MY locomotive to the scene, and Deutsche Bundesbahn locomotives were apparently also involved.

What is the best thing to do on a Sunday, go to the City markets, the stall holders have prepared their products for display, and soon you can buy some fresh produce and at the same time you can indulge yourself with a Devonshire tea. its a place you can take your children across the park which is in the large church ground , bells ringing in the morning and you can listen to an orchestra in the afternoon.
