I would like to use LEDs in the old Marklin locos I am converting with the ESU LokPilot V4.0 M4. I need a source for them, and if possible the corresponding sockets - even though they will "NEVER" burn out...

I want non-directional bulbs, if they are made, and intend to black out the portions of the bulb that face in the "wrong" direction - all the locos in question use hidden bulbs that illuminate a plastic headlight bar.

And another thing - cool-white, or warm-white? Off the top of my head, warm white seems right, but I don't know...

Thanks,
Bob

Era 3
DB lokos, coaches and freight cars from across Europe
But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs
ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control.
With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397.

I would use warm white where the prototype would have had ordinary tungsten bulbs, and cool white in coaches that would have had fluorescent lighting or locos with high intensity lights or high wattage bulbs.
