Hello,
I have exchanged the plastic bearing in several drum coollector motors against ball bearing in the past. Then I read here about the plastic bearing in the old C-Sinus loco from Märklin.

I have two C-Sinus models, an E19 (39190) and the E94 (39221). The E94 became noisy in one direction, after I greased the gears. It was a clattering sound. Therefore, I decided to remove the plastic bearing and inserted a metal ball bearing. I was a bit nervous because of the sensitive flat motor cable. But everything went well!

The E94 is now running good again in both directions without this clattering sound.

What is Your experience?

Soryy, I forgot to tace pictures! I will do the next time.

Moritz

Hi Moritz,

I have installed a ball bearing in all my C-Sinus motored locos so far without any problems. I will do this modification also to my next C-Sinus loco 39573 DB E03 004. It will be my 10th loco with this great old large C-Sinus motor ThumpUp .

Cheers,
Janne
