Märklin are apparently producing a 4415 refrigerated car with decoration to look like a VW Kombi with 'Märklin' advertising lettering (one of the layout threads has a similar VW on the layout).

Modellbahn Kramm have pictures ...

No, I looked there as well, I couldn't work out from the email I was sent if it is a Kramm special, or something Marklin is doing as a special that isn't yet widely advertised.

If it was generally available, I am sure that model would sell really well.
One of the world's iconic vehicles, for sure.

Kühlwagen mit Druckmotiv „Der neue Märklin Schienenbus“, Sondermodell für Händlervereinigung „Wilde 13“

I believe its a special print for Wilde 13. Someone with better German language knowledge can confirm it.

Yes, very likely!

I also have this one, which is Brekina:

Hi Stephen,

Yes, I have that one too. It was the special Brekina model for the Modellbahntreff in Goppingen in 2005.

I also have the 2007 and 2009 Brekina models, which were VW pickups with the Märklin logos on, red in 2007 and white in 2009.

And I have some other models too! There are often some nice limited-editions at the "Märklin Days".

Actually I think it was the Schuco one I was meaning, only found it because the stand was near the Brima one but I missed out ! Blushing
However IIRC Wiking did make a similar one too, which I also missed.

Where else would He take it Wink

Thanks Nigel for the pics of the VW models, can I ask you why I didn't get the 2005 one either Blushing

Umm, the picture you posted doesn't even have the Kombi in it !!! Flapper

The link I posted (repeated above in the quote) IS the set of pictures where I had seen one of these vans recently. I don't know why you think I was wrong in what I had seen ... Confused
