According to the lettering the prototype was used in era III.
They probably will also make era II and era IV models later.

I am quite excited about this Lok. Now that I've gone digital (finally), I love the sounds
and the slow running characteristics. This Lok has lots of great stuff about it and I've always
loved those German crocs. Cheers, Peter

I have found more information with this model.
E93 07 was created year between 1933-1939.
The prototyp E93 07 exist today as museum locomotiv.
The model with picture in Maerklins homepage shows three headlight front.

I like the loco, although I probably won't have it. It doesn't have Telex couplers...

I think these new telex couplers are monstruous (like Marklin 37589\37455); they change the look of the locomotives...
Much more discrete the previous ones, like Marklin 37848\37883. Think M* gave up on these ones... Such a shame.

The new ones are silent and work well with M* close couplers. Specially for freight locos I prefer Telex.
In the 37455, as the locomotive is big, the look of the coupler is not bad.

Miguel

In comparison to a M* 24997 uncoupler, both couplers are realy silent...

Only Piko made an E 93 in scale H0 before.
This Märklin model certainly appeals to me, though I'll wait for an Era 2 version to come:

I have bought some Piko plastic models (including a BR 193 model) and they run nice or very nice.
Piko has three product lines: Hobby and Expert come with cheap decoders (but still run OK), Classic models (like E 93/193) come with better decoders and more details.

As already mentioned, Verbeck had an E93 long before Piko. Of course, it was not a ready-to-run model like that from Piko, but a white metal kit. Propably, the kit which was based on a Märklin E94 has been released somewhere in the early 1980s.

If yes then it will probably arrive sooner or later.
If not then maybe the friendly dealer ordered it "for you" and sold it to somebody else.

Theoretically items get shipped in the order of orders.
Some dealers wait for the deadline before sending all orders to Märklin. Those dealers will get all items from the last batches.
Some dealers forward the orders as they come. They will get the ordered locos from different batches at different times. It's up to the dealer how s/he distributes the locos to the customers.
Think positive: At least you know that your order has arrived at Märklin. There were problems with some dealers who forgot to forward orders to Märklin.

Delivery started in June, but Andrey got his in November:
https://www.marklin-user...-Edition.aspx#post473593
Typically it takes months until all H0 Insider models have been shipped. Add a week or two for the slow canoe to "down under".
It's in the letter: show patience or contact your dealer.

Hi Tom, actually I didn't use Insider pre-order to get E 93 since I wasn't Insider member in April, when there was a deadline for pre-order.
I purchased it from German online shop in October and then noticed that E 93 was in stock there until the end of November.

Thanks for the feedback guys - in reference to the dealer, I watched them enter the order into the insider order page on the Maerklin website. Furthermore, I saw it appear as an ordered item in my profile page on the club site. Then interestingly, the E93 disappeared from my club page in October 2014 while the associated car sets remained.
I send an email to the insider club asking why this had occurred and have yet to receive a reply.
Yesterday, I spoke to my dealer about the certificate and he advised that despite the toy fair having been finished a week ago, he can't even get in touch with Maerklin.
Interesting times.
I am confident it will eventually arrive as I think the item was more popular than anticipated and suspect they would have had to organise a second (or third) production run. I seem to recall receiving a similar certificate for the BR56.
Cheers,
Michael.

That is truly pathetic. If someone who pays (Marklin Insider) a lot for the privelage to buy their product(s) can not get an answer, who can?

Era 3
DB lokos, coaches and freight cars from across Europe
But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs
ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control.
With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397.

Last Saturday, a very friendly guy entered the shop where I was doing some photography and shooting the G 5/5, S 2/6 end latets BR 094.
Seeing me - although we never met before - he recalled that I had never been able to shoot Märklin's E 93 (37870).
Hence, he turned around, went straight home and brought me his model for a shooting session.
Lucky me...
