Interesting in others items but price too high (10% discount limit).Bored

There are many items in this year's Marklin offering which catch my eye. This year I will only preorder the 37200 G2000 diesel, but I have also bought the 37015 S2/6 which is already available.

I will buy other items as they become available.

Hi,

Maybe I should buy finally a Seetal Crocodile as now Märklin makes one with full sounds and mfx+ decoder model 37526. I have wanted a Seetal Crocodile for a long time. This SBB De 6/6 version is "too new era" VI, but no problem as it's Museum locomotive. I like it's colour and I have wanted to "play and try" for a long time with mfx+ cab view mode. RollEyes

Regards,
Janne
Märklin H0 digital layout. I have analog and digital H0 Collection. Rolling stock mostly from era I, II, III and IV. Märklin 1 gauge beginner.

My first impression is not good. There is a little possibility to buy only the 37220 DR crocodile but i have other priorities from the previous years.I was waiting for a new USA model,F7,GG1,Mikado,Alco but we get again a Big Boy.ThumbDown

I'm excited about BR 57.7 (G 5/5). I like the BR18.5, but it will probably be beyond my budget. G2000 look pretty cool too, just not my era.

I think we'll probably get an F7 or two later in the year.

I will be ordering the 30501 Ae6/6 reproduction and the 40661 tinplate four coaches pack. Unfortunately, the USA offerings are limited to the Big Boy which has been offered countless times. I find it hard to believe that there is a market for it but I trust someone at Marklin has done the research. Personally, I would like see a new Mikado, perhaps for the Southern Railway.

I will be ordering the 37325 Re 6/6 in red, the SBB Eurofimas, Restaurant car and especially the FS Eurofimas in orange.
I'm going to pass on the 37359 Re 4/4II because I already have enough of those. If they came out with a Re 4/4III or a Re 4/4II in green with silver roof (1969-1974) that would be cool.
So far, the 34341, 26534 and 37320.2 were all delivered with 1980s revision dates. Can we get a 1969-1973 original for once?

Regards

Mike C

I have ordered the Insider BR18.5. I still deciding for what to go, but I will probably not miss the G5/5.
My budget is very limited and I still need to choose the other ones, but the next 3 more probable are the 37144 (T3), 36332 (2x Ee3/3) and the Seetal crocodile.

About wagons and cars, my first choices are cars for the T3 in case I buy the T3, the kBayStsb 3 wagon coal set and the Orient Express coaches (if I buy these ones I will buy 1 electric lok less).

The Orient Express coaches look great but the grab irons and some other details in the roof are too thick and that's what makes me hesitate, otherwise I would have no doubts. If I buy them they will be pulled by 37116 because I think it is not much different of 37117.

Best regards,
Miguel

Hi,
I am not committing myself too much, because I know there will be even more offerings later in 2015.

Anyway, I am seriously considering the 39030 Insider BR18.5.

From a collectors point of view, I am intrigued by the reproduction Swiss 30501 double loco set with the accompanying tin-plate cars.
Nobody...nobody... does this stuff better than Marklin.
And I don't have ONE Swiss loco or train in my collection.

Definitely will get the banana van for era III (49759), as that will be my second yellow banana van.
Because they are Danish, I am seriously considering the beer cars 48779, even though I am not into beer cars.

Seriously considering 45706 (3 x caboose cars) as they will be something different for the Club layout (DCC) I attend.

regards
Kimball

The 37200 loco, the WW2 set with MEs and the US wagons sets. Also, I feel a little tempted with the BB.

Interesting that some items are shown as "reissues". The era 3 express wagons (43910 plus others) are and do not show in a new items 2015 search.

I am also not seeing the banana car in an era 3 2015 search. I thought it too was shown as a reissue. Kimball, check it out and make sure it is not just identical to the one you already own.

DB lokos, coaches and freight cars from across Europe
But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs
ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control.
With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397.

Thanks Matt. Fortunately, my single banana car is from a freight set (47904) very nice too.
It has a different logo, and has the brakemans cabin as well.
So it will be OK.
But thanks for alerting me.

I've been toying with the idea of getting either the S2/6 or the BR18.5 (especially since the price dropped by more than $30 recently thanks to the Swiss) but the more I think about it I'm having trouble getting to grips with the press stud holding the drive rods to the wheels.

It may look more "prototypical" but I have serious doubts. Perhaps I'm just being a old worry wart Blushing
Sad when its cheaper to buy a new 29640 starter set from Germany than a CS2 on its own in Oz, welcome to the joys of Marklin down under .

Hi,

I'll definitely pre-order the 46565 Green Cargo tank car set because I have three Green Cargo Rc engines. I might actually take four of those sets. Otherwise, there are very few items that would fit into my collection. I'll also take the Danish beer cars (48779) because I have similar DSB items.
The 47085 set is interesting, but it looks a bit fragile as only the undercarriage is made of metal, so I won't pre-order it. I'll probably buy more versions of Märklin's new Nohab as I really like my new NSB version (39671), which I got a few days ago.

Best regards, Mark
Best regards, Mark

I like Märklin items produced in the 1960s or early '70s, but also digital locos & current rolling stock.

  • 37202 etc... looks great, perhaps
  • 42768 DSB passenger car set, to go with my NOHAB

Cheers,
Damon

I cannot leave my eyes on BR18.5.Great details and real sound effect different from the general sound using on the other steamers.
G5/5 also is installed new sound effect as well as BR18.5
G2000 is another spotlighted stuff this year with superior details and nice painting.

I would like to applaud to Marklin for the progress and improvement on their new productions. ThumpUp
