Sometimes I wonder if what we are seeing with these really high prices for obviously low value items is money laundering for crime or terrorist groups.

In the later part of last year someone paid $18,000 at an auction for a framed page from a book. Shortly after a bookshop in Sydney was raided by ASIO and the occupants sent to a dark place. I have often wondered if the two events were linked. It would not surprise me to see eBay used like this too.

Again, giant US companies playing havoc, by facilitation, with historically embedded ethics of business (and of local laws as well) .....
