Within the cab view, for most electric and diesel engines, you need to press the "SiFa" Sicherheitsfahrschaltung (safety driving switchs) on regular moments.
If you are tired of doing so, just hold the SiFa depressed for a longer moment...a Scotch tape is added to it Flapper

The "practical" solution represented perfectly, guess that it may have been used in prototype cabs too now and then.... BigGrin

That won't work in Germany: the emergency brakes are engaged if the dead man switch is pressed constantly for a long time AND if it is not pressed for a long time.

Overlooked that one on the FAQ.
Actually, I was just trying to find out how the SiFa would react if I would drop dead on top of it.
So I noticed the ducktape first time. Although not realistic, it is a funny but handy feature anyway.
