In retrospect its a pity we didn't have a 5 year one also but that's in the past . 10 ,15 & the next will be 20, all the more collectable than some of the items on offer from "M". Just been thinking that maybe the ozzys will get their 15 year item before xmas ,we still have 5 weeks to go yet ,I wont be holding my breath as I'm still waiting on issue 5 of the Insider etc , I cant find my issues 3 & 4 of this year at the moment , I think the FD may have placed them some where & she cant remember where after a bit of a clean up she had a few months ago . Such is life .

Cheers Tom in Oz , enjoying cooler temps after 40 + C the last few days .

Pictures as promised.

I hoped to also post a video of my 7051 crane lifting the box onto the 10 year anniversary car, but sadly I have to report that the magnet on the crane was not able to lift the box - the box kept falling off the magnet when it was lifted. It seems the metal piece inside the box does not have enough surface area for the magnet to be able to grip it.

This means that the box lifting does not work as advertised, and I fear a product recall on the same scale as that of the recent GM ignition fault recall! It is that serious!

This seems to be an issue with the 7051 crane, I think you should write an angry letter to Märklin and complain about it... Wink

The metal is 3mm below the top surface and plentyful, so it should be liftable with a magnet.... Maybe the magnetic field of the 7051 does not reach it and is too weak.
Has anyone tried with a Roco crane or some of the container cranes?

Hello Chipopo,

The information about the wagon is at https://www.marklin-users.net/forum/yaf_postst31820_New-marklin-users-net-wagon-in-progress.aspx. If you are serious about buying a wagon send a PM to Webmaster to see if he is still taking orders.

THis has been investigated and it would appear that your crane or NZ power strength is at fault. Our investigators have delved deeply into your complaint and with a 100% fit crane and full voltage and amperage available from the power pole no fault could be found.

It must be because NZ is so far south that the power is squeezed out of the power supply lines due to pressure from above .

This is (from left) myself, Clappers (Clapcott) and Cookee posing last night at the Club with our 15 and 10 year wagons.

The module the wagons are on is from our club layout Bergtalbahn, which is yet to be put back together after our exhibition a few weeks ago.

What is patently obvious from this photo however is that BD is not wearing anything close to "Corporate Colours" - narry a Marklin logo in sight.

Tsk tsk Sneaky

That aside, we do make a fine bunch and I think 3 wise men is apt.

Something our Ozzie compatriats would surely relate to given the reason the Star of Bethlehem was not seen over the Great Southern Land.... ??

They couldn't find 3 Wise Men AND a Virgin!!!

OOps, forgot about this delivery specific thread Blushing from the "other" thread about Juhan's new creation

My 15 year wagen arrived at my post box on Wednesday and I got yesterday, (Thursday) thanks hugely Juhan BigGrin

I am amazed at the quality of the wooden crate construction and detailing. It far exceeds anything that came with any factory model I have, including several copies of M46281 see Stevens post #187 or the BMW Flugmotoren crate included with M45093 on which it is "modelled" Wink Smile

(Perhaps you should look at how you could upscale production incase M should learn of your talentsScared )

My one has a rare and distinctive manufacturing fault that could place it amongst Marklin special collectables Sneaky
That is, the coupler is not installed on one end, altho it is in the boxThumpUp
If we ever have a latch up of members 15 Jahr wagens, someday somewhere in the world, my one can be last car, and I will get some daylight end of train signals for the occasion Woot (Brawa make them)
It was also delivered in the "original" Marklin my world carton Smile

Also packaged carefully in the brown cardboard box, is my 10 Jahr wagen complete with all accessories and spare decals, retained by a yellow rubber band in perfect condition Wink It also features special weathering on the inside of the side boards.
Four colour varieties of spare Rub0001 are included in the box, thank you Juhan, altho the NZ climate is not as extreme as that of Queensland Australia, and far more "user" friendly Cool Smile

Pics later, edit; borrowed temp pic now Wink

While I was out watering the front garden this afternoon I decided to check the letterbox for junk mail ,I was shocked to see a brown box in there & on further investigation I saw a few customs labels on 1 end . Taking it inside for a deeper investigation [ I didn't have my reading glasses with me outside ] & getting a sharp knife to open the parcel up with what did I find but one grey wagon with a timber box sitting in it held together with yellow rubber bands . I could not believe that I had received the 15 year wagon so quick . Thank you Juhan for sending express airmail & doing such a wonderful job of manufacture , placing of decals etc & packaging .

Over the moon , cheers Tom in Oz

My wagen arrived today at the Gulag. Complete with another Spezial Hand uncoupler.
The wagon looks magnificent. Thankyou Juhan for the time and effort.

Only one small bother I thought I ordered a N scale wagon.(must have been a seniors moment. Never Mind it will look good in the display cabinet.

Ignore that statement when I ordered the following Major conditions were in place:

1. I had no ide we were going to move
2. I never had an inkling that I would have to sell the HO layout and go N Gauge/scale.

Hello!

Today I received my wagon, personally delivered by the Webmaster himself (from the Märklin Wagon Fabric in Lund, Sweden Laugh )

Had a really great chat and swedish FIKA together and talked about Märklin, and showed my layout and collection.

/Bertil

Here's the very nice wagon! Very impressive work, great job Juhan! ThumpUp ThumpUp

First of all, my thanks to your wife for fixing coffee and cakes!
It was great to have little chat with you and your family too.
The big surprise was that your daughter is also a member here.... Wink

And thanks for showing your layout project, I was really impressed by the hand made tunnel portals, rocks,
brick walls and all the extra detailing to make standard trackside items look better. Awesome work! ThumpUp

When I came back from my trip to France and Germany, I found my wagon waiting for me. I have finally taken a photo of it, and seeing I have put my Aldi start set on a table here at work (it is amazing how many of the guys around here play with it) I figured the real special wagon could do with a real special loco to pull it a circuit or two ... A bit of a late reply, but the big batch of Aussie & NZ parcels were posted the same day... Shows some differences in the local postal services efficiency indeed... Blink BigGrin LOL

I find it suspicious that the marklin-users,net wagon and the Insider packages take longer to get here than NZ, and strangely my parcel of 18 ore wagons took one week from Göteborg (Sweden) to Australia at Christmas time.. Sneaky I suspect foul play from the NZ team.
