Have you added a track-component with feedback-Connection to the layout screen?

If not, you have to put one of these (at least) on the screen to see any response from the S88. The Component needed is a straight, or diagonal, track with a circle in the middle. When placing this component you will be asked to enter address of connected feedback-contact (1-16 for S88 #1, can't remember if module # must be entered too). The circle will light up yellow once S88-contact is activated. Current CS2 implementation (afaik) don't allow complete tracks to light up (red), which would be better...

Also - don't remember if it's neccessary with the Viessmann 5217 - but guess it is: You have to connect the S88 to ground (0). For this use one of the upside-down "T"-marked connectors. Only 1 (usually the first) S88-module needs this connection.
Fredrik.
