Is there a simple way to tell the sort of motor installed in locos? I have some Delta, 6080 and 6090/6090x Re 460 locos that I want to get converted to Mfx. How can I tell, by looking alone, if the motor needs upgrading to a high efficiency version?

Many thanks

Delta and 6080 equipped locos of the Re 460 class will have 3 pole dcm motors, and will need the appropriate 5 pole conversion kit.

6090 and 6090x models will already have 5 pole motors.
