A while back, I have been given a Baureihe 50 DRG locomotive, number 37816. Even though the model is in great condition, one small part is missing: a handwheel ('Handrad') on the boiler. As you can see in the center of the picture attached, it has broken off. The boiler has four of these wheels. Unfortunately, the part is not mentioned on the drawings and asking for a part number in the Märklin Museum (Göppingen) failed. Does anyone here happen to know a part number for this tiny piece? Looking for the drawings of the older tooling BR 50 (which do indicate a number), proved not to be off help as those parts do fit, but are significantly more bulky.

Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your quick reply. You are most likely looking for the right part. The part you mention, however, is the part I already mentioned in my original post as being a fitting, yet not fully right one. The Handrad on this older tooling BR 50 is more bulky and has three rather than four spokes. I have those available as a last resort in case the original ones are really not available.

So, any idea as for the handwheels on the new tooling BR 50 (like 37816, 37819, 37810, etc.), very welcome! :)

Just in case there are more people struggling with this or a similar question, e-mail to Märklin Service actually resulted in a reply within 24 hours. The sought-after part apparently is included in the following: Zubehör-Set Handräder + Glocke (E244626). Needless to say, this has been ordered directly and I am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Very impressed by the swift response, that's for sure!
