Episode 66 in German is online. A short episode and the opening screen shows "Märklin TV extra".
Just advertising for the days of open doors.

Five months between episodes - that's a bit of a break!

I've updated the thread header with this info.

It sure is, and I would hardly call it an episode. I still think they could do a lot better if they released a few tips and tricks videos like other companies do. Every now and then a video on how to use their products. This could be: Programming locos, setting up catenary, installing lights in a coach. The possibilities are endless and (IMO) a lot more interesting than a visit to the factory floor to see a model being produced for the fith time.

Maybe a former Märklin CEO wanted to see his face on TV and created Märklin TV.
Maybe Märklin TV was meant to generate extra sales.

Anyway, Märklin TV now seems to have a very low priority. It's still better off than the Märklin Web Radio (which was buried many months ago). Or the Märklin Market Place. Or the Märklin Insider Forum.

I'm afraid the professional team that makes Märklin TV is way too expensive to make tips'n'tricks videos. Good idea - but I generally prefer written "How To" documents over "How To" videos.

Whilst I was on the factory visit at Marklin Days 2013, I had an opportunity to have a chat with Klaus Eckert about the reduced frequency of Marklin TV and he told me that in early 2012 He was called to a meeting with former MD Stefan Lobich, where he was told "Marklin TV is costing us too much and we have to halve the budget, therefore Mr Eckert you will only be able to make about half as many episodes as before" Glare
Klaus (Eckert) and I both agreed that more episodes should be produced and freely available to everybody, from the Marklin site and even a Marklin Youtube Channel as a great marketing tool.
I referred him to Air NZ's "Flying Social Network" programmes on Youtube, facebook etc and mentioned about the great publicity and marketing benefits our NZ Airline had gained from it, and suggested Marklin should be encouraged to do the same, to which Klaus totally agreed, but it seems nothing has happened as yet ! Glare
Just btw I was also interviewed for Marklin TV, at the 2013 Marklin Days, as well as Kiwi American, Dave Cowl, but failed to create the same impact as Eden Anderson, (see episode 62) so it seems attractive Blonde ladies even win the day in a Model train factory, and our interviews ended up on the cutting room floor Crying Laugh

So it seems Marklin TV is still suffering cost cuts, the same as "High Technology Propulsion" as a legacy form Mr Pluta & Co Mad

Have you seen the "Marklin TV Extra - 10"

It looks as if they downgraded the former "Episode 66" to "Extra 10" (the opening credits always showed "extra").

A typo: after 66 we get 76 or so. Or is it 67? Ah, it's 67.

Episode 68 now available in English !!ThumpUp

It answers quite a few questions posed in other threads in this forum, about the Museum Cars and production.

It shows the S2/6 model close up, and running, but I was unconvinced by it's slow running characteristics Blink
especially seeing I have one due soon Scared

Episode 68:

Managing Director says that perfection has not been reached yet and that still mistakes have been made in the production.
Keyword he is using is "dialogue".
I think that is a very honoust way of approaching your customers.

He also says that there is still a delay in the delivery of Minitrix items, caused by the retraction of production from China.
The casting forms coming back from China were in a bad condition,no longer fit to be used in the daily production in Germany.
Inspecting each and every form takes time, especially when new forms have to be produced.
Again,he is very honoust about that.

Good man!

I agree.
Yes, at the end of the broadcast he squarely faces the camera, and thanks sincerely the Insiders and customers who support his company.
Most executives would never bother to do that.

He says that one of the notable achievements was the planning and production of the S2/6 in HO. I agree with that summation too.

regards
Kimball

We have Episode 70 in German: News from the Nuremberg trade fair.

Curved turnouts for C track with large radius might come later this year.

Future batches of the new NoHAB will have better sound.
