I took the plunge yesterday and disconnected my 6021 system and connected my new CS2. Aside from a few issues on the learning curve I have it working and managed to update it to Ver. 3.7 this morning. MFX locos work fine.

However, I now wanted to load in my Brawa BR232 and it would not detect the decoder on the programming track. Once I set the digital address I was able to see and confirm the functions F0 to F4. However I cannot seem to get anything beyond that displayed or configured. How do I get these configured?

Also in the CV table it only shows CVs 1-6 and will not let me scroll down below that. What am I not understanding on how to get to specific CV values such as sound volume CV63?

Anyway I may be tackling more on my first day with the CS2 than I should, but I am frustrated with the lack of details in the instructions for some pretty basic issues.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Peter

Register the loco manually as a DCC loco and you should get F0 through F12 automatically. F13 through F15 can be added manually. You can also select meaningful icons for the functions.

Press the "+" button to add more CVs to the list. IMHO no other controller makes CV programming as complicated as the CS2 does.
You can save the CV list and re-use later or for other locos with a LokSound V3 decoder.

OK I trashed the old configuration and re-registered it as a DCC decoder. As you say I now get Functions 0-12 and have them all working with meaningful icons. However, once again I seem to be missing how I add functions F13-15. According to the manual I am supposed to have add a function + button but I don't.

This seems to be where I don't understand the manual.

Cheers

All you have to do is assign a function icon to F13 through F15 - like changing the other icons. Just click on the void where the icon would be and select a new icon from the list.

Thanks. That was easy and obviously wrong in the manual. Now I can try the CV value items.
