Congratulations on your purchase. Any interior details in the cabins?
Best regards,

No, there isn't in this new eloc an interior in the cabines, even as in the older types (DB Baureihe 194).
About the the decoder, it is not an ESU-Lopi V.3 but has the Märklin numbre:149 044

When using the Central Unit 6021 it is possible to write in CV75 another adress and then the functions F5-F8 are reachable too!

But when the elok is stopping in a currentless part of your rails (as for a red signal!) then the loc is starting <u>abruptly</u> as the signal is going on the color green.
It is <u>not possible to write in CV73</u> the value 03 or 07 (starting on speed 0 and accelerating to the former speed!)
[:(] as it was with the former MFX-decoders...

From wich producer this new decoders are comming is till this moment unknown...

With greetings from the Netherlands,
Dutchman

I don't know - those sandwiched layers of PCBs held together with double-sided foam pads just don't look right to me...

There are quite some differences with the prototype in the roof section, fronts and frontwindows as well.

But after all the M* 1/87 model is around for quite some time now. One can't expect a 40 year model to be up to date in level of detailing. There are other far more prototypical models of this fantastic train.

Just compare:

Don't know what you've seen; sure it does. wink

Lutz,

Are the working red marker lights above the headlights or are the integrated with the headlights.
The red marker lights are clearly dummy fixtures.

<br />Couldn't care less; light functions including red rear lights work as published. If one doesn't like what s/he gets with this model from Märklin simply change it.

PS: The mentioned Bachmann decoder has nothing to do with the sound pcb in this model.

I'll refrain from asking you questions in future.

John,

Hemmerich posts sometimes show the same feature as the red light of this loco: bullsh-t doesn't leave the hole that is is primarily intended to be used.

Hi!

I am reviving this thread since I would like to know (in reference to post #3, regarding CV75), what are the additional functions? More sounds? As I understand it this model only has a horn sound. Are there hidden (versteckte) sounds on this model too? Google has not yielded me any results.

Thankful for any input as the loco will soon join the fleet. Smile

I don't have this loco, but it seems lights are control by F6 and F8 as usual - with a total of 5 functions.

People with access to a Central Station (60212 through 60215) can change the function mapping to have all five functions on F0 through F4.
All mfx decoders support a shunting mode which is normally not mapped to any function with Märklin locos. You can add a function key for shunting mode if you want to.

Owners of a CU 6021 can activate the second address to get all 5 functions using two addresses.
Regards
Tom
