Hello,
I have esu ecos 50200 central station. New arrived. ı want to register my marklin mfx loco by using programming track output.
and ı seperated rail for programming. if program track happen electrically short during loco programming . what esu 50200 does do ?

because ;

when ı was using marklin cs 60212 and when ı was registering my loco (mfx) by using programming track socket. program rail shorted electrically accidentally and 60212 mfx fucntion stopped and not work anymore.

Is there any protection for electrical short during programming mfx loco? or what can ı do protect 50200??

Thank you.

The program track is internally protected from short circuit damage. Edit: On my small track, I will move the connector to the program track output while I fine tune loko speed, sound synch and other functions. I have shorted it when placing a loko on the track without any problems.

You should not "need" to register your MFX lokos. Like the CS2, the loko should automatically register and import icons for functions. Edit: Forgot to say this auto register will occur on the main line output of the 50200. It does not need to be the program track. MFX registration is very slow. Go pour yourself a glass of scotch while you wait. MFX registration is less frustrating when you are drinking scotch. Once registration is complete, you will see an M4 icon in the bottom of each throttle screen. M4 is ESU's way of getting around Marklin's registered trademark MFX. Press that icon and you will go directly to that newly registered loko on that throttle.

But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs
ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control.
With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397.
