Hi all,

I've just taken delivery of a "new" 39011 BR01 - which is a model from a few years back with soft sine drive. I have a 39010 already, which I love.

The package came in terrible shape, the cardboard box and the marklin box both damaged, but the loco was apparently unharmed, but when it registered on my CS2 an error appeared:

If the parcel has been badly treated it's possible the loco might have been shaken around enough to dislodge the decoder. Have you tried opening up the loco and pushing the decoder firmly into it's holder?

I'm not sure how to intersperse text and pics, so forgive the continuation in a second post...

Anyway, despite the error message above, the loco seems to work fine - it runs, sounds and lights OK.

Can anyone tell me what the error message means?

Yes it seems to be working OK... the error message is the only thing unusual so far.

Not really. Maybe it means nothing.

Do you have the latest version 3.6.2 on your CS2?

Regards
Tom

I wonder if there is already busy with another same locomotive somewhere in the CS2...?
Try to disable locomotiv from the CS2 and shut system off the power.
Put the locomotiv on the track and turn the power on again and check if upload auto did become sucess.

Problem solved!

I noticed that the area of track where I had first registered the loco was dirty - locos had a small hiccup there.

So, I unregistered the loco in the CS2, restarted for good measure and then re-registered the loco. No error message this time, and the loco works fine.

So it looks like the error was caused by intermittent connection during loco registration.

Thanks for your replies everyone!
