Hi all,

On my Sunday morning bicycle ride I crossed the line Schagen-Heerhugowaard "below" (south) and "above" Schagen; in the countryside and near Schagen station (pictures are clickable for high-res versions):

"Below", on a country road called Tolkerdijk (it was a dike in old times):



The boxes for control and signaling seem to be heavy, judging from what look like lifting rings ...





The crossing near the railway station has some more security measures:



The stop block (manufactured from track material and wood) is not functional anymore, as track has been removed (see the last picture)



The train that approaches consists of equipment that is virtually ubiquitous in the Netherlands. These are bi-levels that can easily be combined into longer trains for the rush hour.
