Hello.

According to the USA vendor for REE, Ree Models is a relatively new French manufacturer, that specializes primarily in French models and they produce highly detailed models of exceptional quality. They have positioned themselves as the largest producer of French models.

Has anyone purchased any of these products?

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary,
I have purchased a few items of rolling stock, and they are highly detailed.
An example is the long straps that pull down the ventilator covers on the side of European covered wagons are not molded into the profile.
They are a separate wire size part in plastic.

This type of detail is impressive, but does not sit well for some who handle their trains a lot, and therefore are likely to be spoilt.

The lettering on their wagons is exquisite.
I substitute Marklin wheels, which are not the same length axle, so are a bit sloppy.
Overall I am very happy with the wagons, as they provide something different for my layout.
REE have also produced a couple of 2 rail locos that are not cheap.

Thanks for the reply Kimball.

How about the couplers. I'm guessing that those must be replaced?

The spoked wheels on the REE Era II freight wagons are what appeals to me the most. Must I replace them if I am going to run it on C track?

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary,

I would try the wheels without replacement, they should work fine on C track.

I replace them with Marklin equivalents only to get the functionality with say the level crossing accessory.
But if you have one wagon in a train with mostly Marklin wheels, you will not lose that anyway.

Couplers have a standard NEM362 pocket.
