Hi! BigGrin

A lot of the threads in this forum includes photos. You have all taken soo many nice photos of your layouts and trains. ThumpUp
But which of all your photos do YOU consider to be your best photo ever (so far)?!!! Huh

Please go ahead and publish it in this thread.
Add some information about camera, lens, lights and a short discription of what we see in the photo.
We also want to know why you think it's your best photo.

Keep on posting awesome photos!
Regards / Martin T

Here's my best photo so far.

This is a special photo taken of my previous layout (now gone). It captures the moment all the forum members arrives to Marbrodal station to help me build a wooden cabin. The wooden crate is Ians tools for the construction work.

I used a rather short depth of field to blur everything except my Preiser avatar greeting the first man approaching him.

I think this is my best photo while it captures a scene where I meet all of my friends at marklin-user.net.
NOT IRL, NOT on www, but on my layout! BigGrin

Date: 22nd November 2010 at 10.00PM.
Camera: Canon HF-S10
Lens: Raynox wideangle conversion lens 2,8
Light: 2 x 125Watt halogen ramps (cheap work lights)

Hi Martin,
Very good idea to start this thread !! ThumpUp

My favorite photo is my refurbished (built out of four broken B-103's) 1960s Faller station B-103 "Schönblick" (taken with a 6 years old Kodak compact camera).
I like the photo because I put a lot of effort in rebuilding the station, which is one of my favorite Faller kits.

Dale, these are 12V warm white LEDs on an adhesive strip, which I operate at 7.5V.
They are glued to two aluminum strips which rest on the catenary masts, so I can take the station roof off without all kind of cables attached.

Hi Gregor,

Very nice work as I really thought that your photo is from real station and not model railroad. But when I see the photo again I can see the middle studs "pukos" or what ever... You have caught very good realistic look to your station ThumpUp .

I like this photo of my Italian FS locomotives. I am happy how their colors match the cork and one building in the background. Layout scenery is not ready, but for these locomotives the colors are just right ones...

Hi Alan,

Your 9th CCS 800!! Drool Love You are very lucky to have such a Collection of them. How many SBB Crocodiles in total, or are all of them CCS 800 models? Your Collection must be amazing...

I don't have even a single CCS 800, but I would like to have one day an olive green CCS 800.5 with either the original Typ 5 pantographs or replace them with old "new" original Typ 4.1 pantographs. I have two of these Typ 4.1 already waiting for CCS 800... RollEyes. I like Typ 4.1 version very much as they look similar than the "real thing".

Cheers,
Janne

Hi all
I do't think I can compete with the majority of the photos here for their technical aspects but here is mine. taken on the set up night for last year's open day.

It shows the last train at Talheim and the last passenger making his way to the taxi rank.

I really like this scene of mine:
UserPostedImage
Marklin z-scale Orient Express

It's on my first z-scale diorama, and features the Marklin 81080 Long Distance Express (aka Orient Express) train set. The quality and level of detail on the set is impressive, the paint on the engine is precisely applied. I really like the composition of the overhead scene at the train crossing, with the guard's shack and barriers, and it has a realistic feel to the scene.

Pentax K-7, FA 50mm/f1.4 lens. 1/15th second @ f18 on tripod.

Cheers,
Michael
