Hello Oliver,

Brawa have not made signals for a very long time but they were quality work in metal, now displaced by plastic.
I bought most of mine in Zurich in 1983!!!
I see 8817 in my 1998 BRAWA cattledog.
What is the particular problem you have regarding the lightsignal?

Attached is scan of the usual instruction leaflet that came in most of the different BRAWA lightsignals.
Hope this helps.

PJ

Hi Oliver. I would email Brawa. They may still have a copy that they can scan and email

back to you. It's worth a try? Good luck, Peter Smile

I bought the the signal from ebay for 10 bucks and it came with no instruction . The signal has 6 wires coming from it and no resistors for the LEDs like viessman signals. I have tried to email Brawa but the email won' t go thought. That is why I need the instructions.

Hi all,
Oliver, this is a distant signal (Hp system) see: http://www.sh1.org/eisenbahn/shhp.htm,so it should be wired to the main(home) signal.
So the 5 wires are for the lights(1 is a repeater, white left, upper side) and them a common ground wire. What colors are the wires?

I've bought a lot of these signals back in the 80's in he year around 2000 I treid to connect them again and failed miserable by ruining the led's.

6 wires is a bit odd, you would think 4 wires for the led's and one common wire unless there are 2 common wires. I'll have a look if I still go the instructions for the signals.

I hooked up the signal to a old blue box transformer and it worked, and they are light bulbs !, each bulb uses 50ma of current at 16vac.

Hello again Oliver,

The signal has bulbs and even though BRAWA stopped making the signallicht side of things long ago, they still provide the parts.

I do have the instructions from my very old BRAWA signals (still work fine) and will get them to you soon, I am just currently learning (with Adrian's help) how to post the scan images.

Regards,

PJ

Brawa has made signals and there was no break. As you said the earlier versions were metal.
Today, all are made with plastic but with new items too. I know it because I live here in Switzerland.

Oliver

Regarding the one you posted, there is an instruction on it. Märklin once publiched a book on Brawa
Signals but now out of print. All the information are there, but only in German.

Doesn't seem to be any light signals now, or for long time at Brawa : https://www.brawa.de/en/...eisenbahn-englisch.html,
maybe only in Switzerland (or is it Japan) ?

I have such a book, but not published by Märklin and in both German and English :
