Good day,

Making the layout on the CS2 is not à Nice job to do because of the little screen and the absence off the mouse.

Is there a way to make the layout on the PC and import it to the Central Station?

Is there and program Available with the same format.

Greetings,

Johny

Not sure about a PC program, but you can connect a USB mouse to your cs2 and use that. Much easier than the touchscreen.

It would however be nice to have a kind of simple CS2 companion software on a PC for design, kind of like as the "Main Station" iPad app can do...

As Johny writes it is "not easy" to draw a new Layout on the Centralstation 2.

It think it could be a good idea to Ask Marklin to "Make" and "Include" an JAVA-Applikation into CS2 which communicates with the users Computer, which then could be used to draw the "New Layout"
on your Computer and then have the option to save the "new Layout" made on your Computer back to Centralstation 2 over the Webserver integrated in the CS2.

There is "already" an JAVA-Applikation build into the CS2, which is used to "View" and "Analyse" the "messages" transported over the CAN-Bus.

Try this in your webbrowsers adresse-line :

http://192.168.1.100/betatest/CS2analyse.jnlp

(Change the IP-Adress to the one you are using on your CS2, remember to answer "Yes" when you are asked to "Install Certificate" on your Computer)

All the Graphic "elements" used in the LAYOUT-part of the Centralstation 2 is stored as "graphic files" on the CS2 and these could be "re-used" from within a JAVA-Applikation to make a New
Layout on the Computer.

By including af Special Upload-Page in the "CS2 Webserver"-area, the user then could be "allowed" to "Upload" the New Layout-page made by the JAVA-Application.

Thanks all your support for this idea.

I hope that Marklin is watching.....
