I just came in possession of this 1 gauge lok. It is red over a cream color , supposed to be a 1 time issue I was looking for the parts list, but cannot find anything.

I did a search on Maerklin"s web site , and found a Ep 4, Br 218 with the number ma 55714, but again no parts list. I thought the lok I have had sound, and would run AC DIGITAL DC. I tried the lok with AC and it run fine, but,,,,,,,,,NO LITES Manual says it has a 6095 decoder.

I guess I would like to know if anyone had this lok, where I could get the parts list, and what could be
wrong with getting the LED lights to work.

Thanks in advance

Yes it is. I had the chance to buy one off the NZ auction site Trademe a few years ago, but did not have the $$$ at the time.

AFAIK this locomotive did not have sound as a standard fitting, but sound could be added by fitting a sound module.

You can find a manual for 55712 at http://www.igspur1.de/55712_BR218.pdf (55712 seems to have had a sound module fitted as standard)

The only parts diagram I can find is for 5571 (http://www.igspur1.de/5571_explo.pdf) but I don't know if that equates to parts on 55711.

Hi Gene,

For various one-time-series Märklin never published any part-lists or diagrams. So also for 55714.
The headlights only work in digital - mode, running on AC, the lights are "off".

Markus

Thank you Bigdaddynz and Marcus for helpful and informative information.

I was worried that I didn't have a real Maerklin lok since I couldn't find the Model 55711
on the marklin site. I know I have the box, and manual, but these days there are always???

Then when the lights wouldn't work, I was really concerned. I hope to have a sound board (decoder)
installed. Guess I will have to dig out my trusty 6021, until I get the digital connection (60112) that I
an waiting on delivery.

Again thank you both. BigGrin BigGrin
