Nice additions Steven! If I can make a suggestion, I would make an extra mass point to the second axle of the closed car for better power pickup

I bought myself 3 4000 coaches from ebay, to go with my 3000 Br89. I want to re-create the train I played with from my childhood.

From the same seller I also got a 4635 ballast car. I have been meaning to get one of these for ages!

Some of those are on my wish list. I'm trying to get one example of each of the 1960s freight wagons. You seem to have most of them in that lot!

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the silence but things have been so hectic recently and I have had to visit the Carribean a few times, which as you can imagine has been real hard work Flapper

Some lovely items been purchased and on display on this thread, I especially liked Jeremy's astrological set, very nice, and did not even know they existed!!! It is real nice to log on and follow a thread which shows you some new and unusual item made by Marklin.

I am sad to say that over the past three / four months, I have not done any Marklin related relaxation, and I have not even been able to make any Marklin Club UK events Crying I have still been doing a little Fl-ebaying, and I have tried to direct my attentions to rolling stock items and a few carriage sets, but nothing too exciting. I have therefore grouped my new aquisitions together to keep it simple;

UserPostedImage

I promise I will try and contribute more in the coming months....................

Best Regards

Glenn

Thanks Ian, it is nice to have five minutes to catch up. I am not complaining I am glad to be busy, rather be out and about with work than sat bored in the office. By the way on the Today Photo's thread there is a picture of one of our bridges as you requested. I did not know where else to put it.

I hear there is a gathering this week-end at your place??!!?? Have you a theme yet?

Hi Glenn,

Yes, a meeting this Saturday, I've been buying a few analog Loco's, (late 50's V200's) so could give them a run.

Then there's my new 1935 to 1939 "16 sleeper" track" to have a look at, and I'm running My Insider BR39 and wagon Set.

And then........Smile

Ian.

Hi Kristof,

I don't think they are short couplers, but I'll let you know for sure when I get them.

Found these on a weekend away, where there was a jumble sale (is that the correct word?).

The 3 for 20 euro, made me very happy:

I love these tinplate wagons. ThumpUp

Notwithstanding that they are to a reduced scale, they are actually quite nicely detailed, with nice interiors (on the later ones), excellent printing, and nicely compensated bogies. The reduced length actually allows me to run 5 coach trains into my station, where I can only fit 3 scale length coaches. This gives me more variety in my passenger trains than I could manage with the longer coaches. The short length also looks less silly going round 1st radius curves!

Kristof, congratulations on your acquisition. You must post some photos of your V200 with these coaches.

Thanks for the post! I love them too, since I m planning a vintage layout and a modern stuff layout, the tin plates will be put into service with modern from about the same period, coming to their full beautiness... I will be posting pictures, after we have moved :-)

That's a nice coach, Ian ThumpUp

Having been in Luxembourg a few times on business I have been unable to resist getting some CFL stock. I have 3 coaches of a similar type, but in the green and cream colours.

Hi all,

From member Wolf (LMS800) I have acquired a 1950 '343' Mitropa sleeping wagon and a 1949 '381' freight wagon.
Wolf sent it last Friday from Germany and it arrived yesterday together with the TM800 steamloco.
The printing on the sleeping wagon is not in 100% top condition (played with) but I knew that in advance.

I want to thank Wolf again for the fine way of doing business and also for his patience with me.
