Ok, I did it again. I just bought another V200 on eBay. ThumpUp That makes two in two days. Woot So I should get both in a few days. I am not sure on the age of the second V200 that I just bought, but the Engine # is V200060. As soon as I get either of them I will post pictures.

The said box arrived for me today!

I missed out on one of these when they were released in 2008, but when ebay dealer fettsau1 sent me a newsletter saying he had a few of these sets, I couldn't resist. I was lucky enough to get the last one.

This completes my Long Henry collection, as I already have the matching oil fired Br44 for this set, plus 1 Marklin 12 ore car set, 1 Trix 12 ore car set, 1 Marklin 5 car set and 7 non LH ore cars that I put loads in and weathered to match these ore cars. That makes a total of 46 ore cars. I also have both Trix Long Henry Br44's.

Thanks for the kind comments, all.

Ray, I didn't mention about the other 2 Br44's I also have - 37889 'Big Ears' and the Br44 that came with the pipe train set a few years ago.

A friend in our Marklin club also has the LH set, with extra ore cars - I think he has 44 or 48 cars. If we put them together, I guess we could have close to a 100 car train!

I'd probably double head the train to pull 46 cars, but I could also run 2 trains of 23 cars each.

Hi Dave,
Very nice, congratulations ThumpUp ThumpUp join the club. I got this one in 2007, with my new items order that year from LS along with two 46255 sets and thought that was enough. I did intend to order the 37883 but '07 was a big year allready with other items. Later when Marklin bought out 00775 set of 12 more Ore Wagens I ordered those. I missed the Oil fired '44 till I scored one on ebay in 2010, after and also finding another 00775 Set, at a very good price from RJF trains when he was advertising a Walters clearance. That left me with six more Wagens to get to make the 50. Got them last year from fettsau from a 00775 set and I believe he has more. Long Henry becomes a bit of an obsession Scared
One day at a train show some where we'll run the lot (on our AMC modules) !! but probably in two Trains to be prototypical, altho maybe a 100, just to show US & NZR modllers what the DB and Marklin is made of .Wink
Setting up such a train and putting it away would use a big chunk of your day, so I intend to get "Train Safe Travel" tubes for mine. One 270mm and two 240's RollEyes

Yes he does, that's where I got my 00775 from. I got my 37883 off the forum from Sal (Krokodileman), and the Trix ore car set and 2 Trix Br44's came from johnvandamme. I just recently installed mSD decoders in both Trix Br44's.

Are you converting them to 3 Rail David ?

My 37883 actually came from MiWuLa, they have a big clearout on ebay once or twice a year, and often the prices are quite favoiurable. I also got my 39800 V200 from them. in the same shipment as well as a kit or two & some wiking cars IIRC, it was nearly two years ago.
I probably don't look at the items for sale on the forum often enough Blushing

V200 Arrived in the mail yesterday. See the picture below. Based on a weblink that another member sent to me I think this engine is from the 1980's maybe. In any event another great eBay find, practically no wear visible on the slider and the engine itself is in great condition and it ran great yesterday. I am now waiting for a shipmint of ESU decoders to convert and my other purchases to Digital. I am also still awaiting another V200 in the mail.

Thanks guys. The thing that strikes me is how simple the model really is. The shell, a very plain chasis and then the motor and reversing unit, all very simple but also very nice looking. A really nice Marklin Engine.

Thanks everyone. I can't wait for the second one to arrive, it is only coming from a couple states over but I don't think it has been shipped yet. From the pictures I think the second one might be in need of some minor work, but I am looking forward to giving it a second life.

I see that you all have been very busy buying rolling stock while I have been relaxing in our summer house.

I have only bougt one thing, when I passed by my MMR dealer some days ago.

I will convert it with the 5* motor 60941 and mLD decoder 60962.

Which is why I'm thinking of swapping the mSD decoder that is in my 33021 Br53 for a Loksound 4.0.

I have only bougt one thing, when I passed by my MMR dealer some days ago.

Märklin 3136. CFL 453:

This was made in 1986.
Looking at the pick-up shoe and the wheels, this has hardly been run. The two front axles are locked.
I will convert it with the 5* motor 60941 and mLD decoder 60962.

Looks really good, Svein! ThumpUp

Two newcomers added to my collection.
A BR 50 2362 Märklin # 29820 (b) coming from Startset Digital Premium and a BR 98 314 Märklin # 36862. Both run smoothly with MS2, made me BigGrin and wanted to share.
