It comes with ZIMO 8-pin sound decoder, personally I change back to orignal ESU decoder and speaker.

Confused
What´s wrong with Zimo´s sounddecoder?

Yeah.. Zimo sound decorder is at least better than the Marklin in-house decoder and the sound is so realistic and awesome.. Really like the Zimo decoders as they really shine for themselves!

Thank you Ray !
I've just put the power on the tracks.
The lady is running forward and backward and the lights are reversing.
The reversing is done without jerking - as for all the 33XX series - and this time it works !
So, everything seems to be ok. Just oil to add I think...
3317 is her name.

Yesterday the Big Boy arrived along with the 37705 VT 75 Diesel Rail Car.
The Rail Car has similar engine sounds to the recent VT 95's from Marklin, although the sound project, has been altered, to have only four gears and a noisier gear change, and some more random air sounds. It is also louder or stronger, all the other sounds are very similar Bored It is a very nicely detailed model tho ThumpUp The black thing hanging from the roof in the first pic, is the decoder which you wouldn't normally notice on the layout, and the speaker whilst still there in the floor, is less obtrusive ThumpUp

All nice/great new ones guys.

I would like them all but I am on a strict diet as Management has decided that the Euro is going to go downhill and wait until there is about 10 Euro to the $ then I can buy something.

Very nice models indeed. ThumpUp

Took delivery myself of 37994 Big Boy last week and as I don't currently have a layout, looking at the loks unpacked will have to make do for me Crying

Also took delivery today of the 37542 of eBay (175 year Br 120). Really heavy lok and in 100% perfect condition.

Ian,

all you need now, is fly to Sweden and get onto one of these nostalgic trains and this means one week without new locos,

That's what they say in the Märklin product database: "Angel Trains Cargo class 28 general-purpose locomotive, leased to the Belgian State Railways (SNCB/NMBS)." It's the typical Angel Trains design pattern with a different colour.

As everone knows I am not buying any more trains but I echo Svein's comments..........................very nice additions one and all, Phil 5 X ThumpUp on the NoHAB.

However I sneaked in, because they are SETS not individual trains, Woody 28702, 2870 both with rellevant extension coaches, 4270, 4271 for the 2870 and 42702
for the 28702. I must say a personal "thank you" to Per or his help with these. In addition to his advice I gained some fascinating information about the trains as I had
the add on coaches mixed up. Namely that the 4 axle coaches would have been for the faster elok and the two axle 42702 would have been for the somewhat more
sedate tank lok.

The recently announced NoHAB does not count as a broken promise as that will be released next year but here is piccy and I also might have transgressed on another
NoHAB - the 3143 that appears in Svein's avatar.

Kristof - I have a 3085 BR03 that was purchased secondhand in my childhood, it is my most worn loco but also one of my favourites. Very strong loco! Good choice :)
