Hi Panayotis,

The boiler is made of metal, and the cab is plastic. When you look at it close up you appreciate the details, like the metal ladders on the boiler.

I agree it is a bit of a strange loco, and this is what attracted me to it. I was actually about to buy the Br64, and I was looking at the various versions they had in the shop. When I noticed the fireless loco I had a good look at it and decided to get it instead.

She's a Trix model with Trix wheels.
Others say it's a nice model - except for the wheels.
It comes with short buffers for operation and long buffers for showcase.

A very nice model - with some minor oddities.

The Trix 120 class uses the same type of wheels. I don't know other Märklin locos with those wheels.

Nice looking loco Ray.
I am quite tempted as it has sound.

Some years ago I got the first release of this loco in a train pack in green livery with Henkel / Persil wagons.

I do not know how they have managed to fit a sound decoder and speakers on board!

I have added to my N gauge collection: a Piko BR 118 in special blue livery.

UserPostedImage

It has been bought second-hand via ebay. Sure, this is everything else than a state-of-the-art model, it has been produced somewhere between the 1960ies and 1980ies, but it looks quite interesting, and I got it for a good price.

Great looking loco, Serge!

I was looking at one of these in a shop last week. It's bigger than it looks in the catalogue. In the end I opted for another steamer, but the seed has been sown. BigGrin

Ian - Very nice copy of that set. I've been looking for one of these for a while...but it's sort of been on my "tier 2" list, which for mean just means I won't pull the trigger unless it's a really good deal. Not a "must acquire" mode. How does the V36 run in comparison to some of the other small 6 wheel analog locs of the era (such as V60/260, DHG500, etc)? Is it a metal body?

Hi Brandon,

Thanks. ThumpUp

The Set was/is like brand new, and the pick up shoe had no marks on it.

Will need to give the Loco a good "oiling".

She has a plastic body.

Very lovely, How is the run and sound?

The sound is nice. But this type of loc has not the best eloc sound.

Running is very good and the loc drives very smooth and the motor doesnot make much sound.

M-track with a CS2.
