Some new pictures taken today.

I found this Ford Wagon at a train show and really liked it, the previous owner weathered it a bit.

My BR 50, I bought from one of the members here on the forum. It was a bit rough and needed some work so I stripped the engine down, cleaned it up and repainted it and added LEDs to the front and used fiber optics to add lights to the tender. I am using a Lokpilot 4 to run the engine. After cleaning it is a very smooth runner.

This picture shows some of the work that has been completed on the upper part of the branch line. The station platform has been put in and the people and vehicles have been added. I still need to light the station and do some lighting and around the platforms. I picked up the locomotive second hand at an area hobbyshop. It runs great and has no problems on my inclines pulling 3-6 cars.

A picture of my coal area with a couple coal cars waiting to be unloaded while a couple V200s wait on the other track.

My BR 86 parked in a spur with a local passenger train as the box car is being unloaded.

Thanks for the nice comments Christoffer. Right now I have a lot more detailing to do to the layout, finishing scenes and improving others not to mention adding a lot of lights.

Here are a few more pictures.

Some of my tank cars in the tank farm area of my yard.

This picture is for Ian. I think I have 12 Banana wagons on my layout now.

Reefers in the brewery area.

My BR 85 and BR 38 in the engine servicing area.

Hi Rob, the Furchild, our Mini Dachsund for the benefit of the group, is doing great. I have met up with a couple of Northern CA ETE members and we are now meeting on a semi regular basis so that has been fun. I met them both at Eurowest.

Everyone else thanks for the comments, more work to do still, will keep the pictures coming.

First, thanks Joel for the nice words.

I did some work today on my layout creating an addition in the bedroom closet. I removed the doors, and created the benchwork. See the picture below. I need to do some trim work still but I added some shelving and about 2' X 4.5' of space for a small addition. I have the track plan ready and the track is on the way. I am going to move my brewery over to this area and put a different factory where the brewery currently sits. I figure the new addition will allow me to hold another 20+ wagons in that area.

Here are the pictures.

Here is the track plan for the addition. The brewery will sit toward the opening of the closet which is at about the Vertical #2 in the track diagram.

Here is a picture of the closet with the rough benchwork. The track will connect via a switch to the branchline, just past the house on the right in the picture .

First, thanks Christoffer.

Ok, so the track I needed arrived and I have laid it out with some minor changes. I have attached a picture. I will have a large goods warehouse toward the left which will serve the three tracks toward the back of the closet. In addition I will have either a small concrete plant or some type of grain silos toward the front right of the closet. In the back right corner I have enough space for a small elevated city section that will have an alley and a couple buildings looking over the track area.

I am also including a couple pictures of a couple new locomotives I added to the layout.

This is my new DHG 500. AJCKids had it a for a very low price and I really couldn't say no. It runs very smoothly, is digital and will serve my industries well.

Below is my "new" old electric. It is an Austrian Electric, model # 3036. The body is all metal. I had to repaint the top and bottom as the engine was really beat up and in sad shape (the center could use some work as well). I also had to buy new pantographs as they were missing. I converted it to digital with a Lokpilot 4.0 and after extensive cleaning of the engine it is a very smooth and silent running engine. I also replaced the lamps with LEDs. I have a few extra functions left on the decoder so I might also add cab lighting to the locomotive eventually.

First, thanks for the comments. I haven't been checking the list as much as I like so I am sorry it took so long to respond.

I had a couple visitors over and they pointed out I needed to add some sand for my Locomotives. So today I decided to add a sand tower to my engine servicing area. I scratch built it with left over pieces I have had from other kits. Once that was done I painted it flat black, built a little area for the sand and my engines now have sand. I might add a roof to the sand pit, so as to keep it dry but for now I am happy with the addition. Oh and as you can see I added sand to one of my wagons.

Here are a couple pictures.

Hi Chris,

Just found your thread here and have read it right thru and viewed all your videos too BigGrin I've had an entertaining few hours Wink

I must say really excellent progress, and results in just 12 months, you have every reason to be proud of yourself especially seeing you were restoring and digitising Loks as well as building and scenicing the layout. Well done ThumpUp ThumpUp

So here is another video of some of my engines. I used the ESU lokprogrammer and changed the sound files on my V200 (very happy with the changes), BR 38 (Very happy with the changes) and my BR 23 (still a work in progress but I like the whistle). I also have my E63, BR 50 and BR 212 pulling trains. The E63 needed some oiling and now runs more smoothly.

Here is the video and some pictures.

Chris

Here is the latest video.

One of the warehouses with a few older wagons at the loading dock including an italian one.

Here are some of my banana wagons. I think I am up to 11 now. Look out Ian I am catching up. Huh

My locomotive area is filling up, I might have to start looking for more room and consider a turntable and roundhouse.

My newest switcher pulling a few silo cars.
