Location: On 1965 Märklin Boulevard just around from Roco Square
Here are some pictures how I've converted the bulbs with a led circuit board (e.g. 39222)

If you are intending to do this, have a close look what has been removed or cut away.

The light socket (behind) is superglued onto the frame (motor bogie)

A view from behind. the bulb studs (2of them have been removed from the bulb holder socket and the studs from the led circuit board have been fed through (bulb socket) and the ends have been bent outwards.

Nice work! Where did you get the LED PCBs from, were they expensive?
