Hi.

I'm looking at upgrading and old 3031 to digital and I don't like the prices that M has for 60923 etc n(EUR - AUD is shocking and so is postage..... )

Does anyone have a listing of the parts?

I'll get my local distributor to order the parts in and whack a Lokpilot in.

Cheers,

Tom.

Tom, this is about the 32nd time I've posted this list, but there always seems to be a demand for it!!

Depending on whether your loco has a DCM, SFCM or LFCM motor, you should select the appropriate parts list. To that list add you Lokpilot or Loksound or whatever decoder you want!

Partnumbers for DCM motor (60901/60921)

386820 anchor
389000 field magnet
386940 motor shield
516520 inductor
601460 pair of brushes
276770 lamp Socket

Partnumbers in SFCM motor (60903/60923)

210888 anchor - 8 teeth
224615 field magnet
224613 motor shield
516520 inductor
601460 pair of brushes
276770 lamp Socket

Partnumbers in LFCM motor (60904/60924)

214118 anchor - 7 teeth
210888 anchor - 8 teeth
210882 field magnet
214121 motor shield
516520 inductor
601460 pair of brushes
276770 lamp Socket

You may also want:

231470 Soldering lugs for grounding the motor
600760 Capacitors
516520 Chokes
601460 Brushes
610080 Lamp bi pin 0.7 VA @ 22 V Digital

ESU HAMO magnets for use with existing AC motors

ESU 51960 Permanent magnet like Marklin 220560, (LFCM)
ESU 51961 Permanent magnet like Marklin 220450, (SFCM)
ESU 51962 Permanent magnet like Marklin 235690, (DCM)

OK Tom, the 3031 uses a SFCM motor, so use the SFCM parts list. Cheers.

Hi David,

Thanks for the 32nd time winkSmile

Would it be an idea to have your list added to the "Digital Corner" as a reference for digital conversions?

Kind regards
Guus

Thanks again for the list, Bigdaddy.

I believe there is an additional motor shield in the kit numbers listed for LCFM:

Guus, SmileCoolwink Good idea, I shall email our esteemed webmaster.....

Benny, I think you may be right. I was reading about it in one of the recent Marklin Magazines. I will add it to my list. Thanks.

To clarify the list, you need 2 516520 inductors for every motor conversion you perform.

Hi Bigdaddy.

You might consider to add the following to the paragraph:

You may also want:

ESU51950 Female cable kit for NEM 652 plugs (Beware! DCC colour scheme).

Useful when converting el- and diesel locos with ample space for plug-in decoders with NEM 652 8-pin plugs (Lokpilot 3.0 and Kühn T145P amongst others).

Unfortunately I don't know a number for the newer 21-pin interface.

Regards,
Benny - Outsider and MFDWPL

ESU 21 pin adapter:51967 21MTC-Adapterplatine.
or,
HAG 501025-75 Schnittstelle 21pol. ,which is equivalent, however it's already completely wired.
