Hi Steven,

from the mid 1960s to the early 1970s Märklin imported "MERCURY" 1/43 cars and motorbikes from Italy to Germany and other countries outside Italy. The series was not a really success because most of the prototypes where unknown to German boys in these years: Lancia, rare FIATs, Maserati, ALFA... As an example of the assortement (overall more than 50 different models where offered) two pages from the 1966 and the 1970 Märklin car catalogue:

1970:

Mint in (Marklin)-Box cars a very rare nowadays.

Regards

Markus

I don't think Sprint is that rare (yet) - take a look on eBay.de, there are quite a few items still.

Hi Steven,

generally SPRINT is not rare. But there are very rare cars and items which can hit the 1000 EUR benchmark.
