Joined: 11/08/2016(UTC) Posts: 4 Location: Missouri, Saint Louis		Group - I recently purchased a 3181 (Burlington F7 US prototype) powered locomotive from eBay Germany. Unit was pre-owned and runs well; however, when going in reverse, it makes a subtle "clicking" sound. Last night when I took the shell off and ran my fingers over the drive wheels to inspect the drive gears, sure enough, it looks like one or maybe two tiny gear teeth of a white plastic sprocket have chipped away. This is not the one visible on the bottom of the unit - it's a bit more internal and higher up in position. I'm guessing replacing this would require a skilled technician to perform this procedure.. Will this issue lead to future problems, or can I just run it like this forever? Also, if any of you know of someone who repairs Marklin trains in the St. Louis, Missouri, area, I would sincerely appreciate the referral. Thank you! -Scott Nauert, St. Louis, MO

I don't see the risk of further damages of other parts. If you are not familiar with changing gears, changing the whole truck can be an alternative.
