That is an interesting coach, with the Bosch advertising on,have not seen that one before.
Check the actual coachnumber (printed text on the coach itself) because there have been 3 versions of the 4082.
Where did you find the Insider logo because in 1970 there were no Insider models............

uuups.... Sorry folks, I ment the "Händler-initiativ"-logo, not the "Insider"-logo. The Händler-logo is printed on top of box. IMG_8281.JPG

The MHI versions only started in 1990 or so.
So,do not trust the box.
The Bosch stickers look very professional, think it was done in the factory.
You have something special there.

Cheers,
Paul

Kai,

That is the old Marklin logo, much later used for special products (including replicas) only.

Really? I never knew that. No other blue boxes I have from that period have that logo. Anyway: Thanks very much for your response!

You need to change your photo resolution so that they are about 800-850 pixels wide, then they will show in the thread instead of a link that has to be unnecessarily downloaded.

I suspect your coach may have been produced as an advertising wagon, and wasn't available on the general market.

Hi Kai,

I don't think that the stickers were applied at Märklin. The two short parts "Zuverlässig" (reliable) and "Der Spül-Bosch" (the (dish)washer-Bosch - shortened marketing language) originally were one part like the one in the centre and cut to fit on the car. The campaign which is shown on the car started 1975, some years after the car and the box was produced. A nice car anyway.

The symbol with the stylized m-locomotive was first registered in 1961. In the first years it can be found e.g. on page 2 of every catalogue and as separator for languages in all leaflets for the locomotives. Around 1970 it also appears on many boxes. Official German trade-mark-register: https://register.dpma.de...marke/register/769443/DE From 1990 it was used for MHI-products.

Regards

Markus
