Yesterday I received from Dion at Toottoot some details of an offer from Marklin - a unpainted version of a G1 BR41 plus a CS3+, limited to 99 pieces worldwide. Details are in the attached pdf file. If you're in NZ and are interested, contact Dion or else contact your favourite Marklin dealer. The landed price is given as $7049 NZD inc GST.

Cool

A bit strange IMHO.

Selling a collectors item made in only 99 pieces, which probably will sit in a display cabinet forever and never run,
together with a CS3 that nobody would buy just for exhibition purposes.

Per.

Cool

And as Clapcott said to me the other day, why sell it with a CS3+ when there's no loco test stand supplied to run it on?

It does. I believe that the Train-safe Display case comes with an embedded roller test stand..

It may just be the photo playing tricks, but the effect/weathering on the tender looks awefull IMHO.

There is no weathering on any part of the loco, it is all bare die cast metal and brass.

This is how the loco would look before being painted.

suppose it will be another 1000 to finish the loco. I rather fly 1st class to NZ and look at the loco instead of buying it

The painted version is a bit cheaper - about $4000 NZD, but you're welcome to fly to NZ if you wish.

Yes my friend, you have two kidneys and you can spare one to help a person in desparate need of one.
Alone in our tiny country The Netherlands there are over 200 people on the waitinglist for a kidney transpantation, including many young children.
Needless to say i am on the list of potential donors, for free that is.

Have a nice day,and be careful with your kidneys.

And apart from anything else,it is terrific locomotive!

Cheers,

Paul
