Recently purchased the beautiful blue BR 10. What recommendations are there for coaches to go with this lok?

That's an extremely short review.

This livery was never used in real life, so use any coaches you like on your layout.

The original Br10 had two coach sets issued to go with it, known as the 'Riviera express'. One set had 5 wagons (four coaches plus baggage car IIRC) and the second set had two coaches. There is also a Trix set of three Italian coaches in grey livery, also called 'Riviera express'. Don't have the catalog numbers handy.

Nice

I'd match up coaches with the blue scheme, like the Rheingold.

Upon reviewing the history of the BR 10, the two prototypes produced only were in black. I viewed one of them at the Deutsche Dampflok Museum, and recommend a visit there if you favor steam loks. Thus the model is a fantasy of Marklin and I like the idea of the blue scheme of Rheingold or the Rivera express.

Thanks for the input.

The very first reply by H0 pointed out that the livery was fictitious.

My understanding is that the livery pictured, along with the red livery Marklin has produced were both design studies in how to paint the locomotives when their production was proposed.

So while the loco never actually wore the livery, it had been a proposed livery for it.
