Hello,

Does anybody knows the voltage/amperage used by the motors installed on the 7286 turntables?

Thanks!

Hi Danilo,

The motor is 14 to 16V. Maximum current is <200mA -(with rotor blocked @15 V).
Note: most of the time the motor is not driven in pure DC at full tension.

Hi Jean,

Excellent video. How did you modify the turntable to get the light and flashing LED to be turned on and off?

Cheers

Cool video. I see you are using the digital-bahn decoder. Do you think this decoder would work with a 12VDC 0.10A motor?

Hi Peter

I purchased and installed the turntable decoder set DSD 2010 from Digital Bahn. It consists of 3 modules and a rather important installation when you have the signals and the sound as in my case. The lights and signals are not included in the set but can be driven by the DSD 2010 set. A good configuration s/w can be downloaded for free to set all parameters, etc

Hi Danilo,

Yes I believe it would (1) because the current you need is smaller than the maximum current of the 7286 TT and (2) because there is a current protection and a drive control (the motor is not set to full speed).
Please refer also to following post for further détails Other post 7286-turntable-coil-question
