I have a MS2 (60653) running software version V1.81. When I load my 37069 loco it uses a generic icon and the function pictures are all light bulb icons (though all of the functions work).

Is this an incompatibility issue with mfx+ and my outdated MS2? (Unfortunately, I'm not able to update my MS2.)

Most likely yes.

Hi Ken,

That's exactly what I was getting on my MS2. My software version was 1.3.

Two weeks ago I bought a new MS2 (from a start set) with Version 2.5. I used it to update my old MS2 and now both of them handle the mfx+ locos properly. You can get one of these start set MS2 for less than 100 euro on many Ebay shops.

Thanks Ray ThumpUp

I've been researching the new CS3 and I'm thinking that I may go that route. It will make my "railroading life" easier....
