Hi:

According to Luigiettore of the Italian Forum 3Rotaie, who lives in Milan, there is a store that seems quite prominent:Ciciesse.

This is the English website address: http://www.ciciessemodel.com/en/.

If you do go, please let us know what you think of it.

Arrivederci.

I have not been in Italy since 1985, but I do know that the biggest Maerklin shop is Toytrains.it in Bergamo, which is not too far from Milano.

In Bergamo, you are also relatively close to two of my favourite places in the world, Lago di Como and Lago di Garda.
If you can get across into Switzerland, check to see if Galleria Baumgartner in Mendrisio is still open. I think that TILO gets you there from Milano.

There are a number of model train shops and companies in and around Milano. If you can arrange a visit with Essemme or ACME, I am sure that you might enjoy yourself.
You might even walk out a fan of those exact scale models ;)

Regards

Mike C

I have done a mail order purchase from them. Very efficient service, communicate in English very well, quite pleased with the deal I had.
