Hi!

Do you want any blue F train or does it have to be F 4 "Merkur"?
Which time? 50s? 60s? 70s?

43918 is not in stock at Märklin. I don't think it was made with different numbers over time.
43290 is an older Merkur set in a Märklin box.
Both should be available on eBay.
Regards
Tom

43918 is era IIIb with 4 cars
43290 is era IIIa with 3 cars

The sets have different car types too

As Tom says, you need to specify if you want the Mercury set in eraIIIa or eraIIIb.

For eraIIIa I only know of 43290, though also made under Trix T23420.

Märklin 43290 are Fleischmann coaches in a Märklin box (with built-in lights).
You can find Fleischmann coaches for "Merkur" or "Gambrinus", but without lights - and you will have to swap a coupler on one end.

Google Chrome can translate pages for you. Or try Google translate:

That is what google translate is for:

https://translate.google...p;edit-text=&act=url

1955 is the changeover from eraIIIa to eraIIIb which was the removal of 3rd class and change to triple headlights and the changeover to the DB cookie logo.

If you are not specifically modelling 'a' or 'b' then you have many options.

If you are after Mercury by Marklin specifically, then you will be able to find one of the two mentioned sets either 2nd hand or new 'old' stock quite easily.

I am a big fan of F-trains and have the following sets: Merkur, Senator, Glückauf and Dompfeil all for era3a.

A currently available eraIIIa F-train set for Blauer Enzian is available, Marklin model 42615 (or eraIIIb is 42610) which I do not have as I think I have enough already:)
