Its a wonder they didn't take the cs demonstration stand as well, along with the cabinets.

It must have taken a significant amount of time to pack all those into boxes to transport them without damage, even without putting everything into original boxes.

It is possible those items might end up on E Bay. I hope the shop owner had insurance!

Though I was unable to read the words(english is my language extent), I gather this train fan suffered a substantial loss caused by some callous, thoughtless thief. I send whatever positive waves possible to the victim. Society is sick, if even an individuals innocent train hobby is at risk.

In short - the shop has had a burglary and the Märklin numbers are international...
Quite a bit of items were hauled from the shop.

Be aware of new sellers with these items on Ebay and such...

I've had a break in few years ago, I thought nobody would steal Märklin stuff but I was very wrong, over A$ 5000.00 were stolen but could never find anything after all these years.

I've worked hard to get all my trains and for someone to come and break in and steal them is beyond me especially here in Western Australia, its not a mega centre for Märklin trains and the way they were handled one could ascertain he wasn't a model train enthusiast but I helped him by providing milk crates which I had in my garage, so for anybody to steal that many loco boxes may also is just be a thief and not a train enthusiast, like the ones when the broke into the Märklin Museum, I hope he has some security camera system.

I know the age of the person, the car he drove but no visual evidence who he is and no registration number of his vehicle.

My trains and some of them he couldn't take anymore, the Swedish DM 3 and he took half of my Swedish iron ore loco (blue) which fell to the ground when fleeing with it and the front cab was smashed.

so I feel for anybody who had a break in and model trains had been stolen and than you get the annoying thieves who pinch cars and people at exhibitions.
