So I'm thinking about what to put on the outside of the door to the train room. Its what one sees if the door is closed as they come in.
My thought is a simple traffic sign such as UserPostedImage which can be had for €25 plus shipping.

Other items I've thought about are some city signs, some platform signage.

What do folks with layout rooms have on their doors?

The full sign is to big to fit on the door, and the restriction sign portion would only suggest "no people allowed" :-)

The two signs are uniquely Australian and, no, they were not stolen!

Two more meanings for PMG

Public Money Grabber

Pigs Must Grunt

I started in the old PMG back in 1965 as a Trainee Telephone Technician . It was a good job back in those days ,now it has been split up & shares offered to the public which immediately turned into a great loss making spin off from a government enterprise with all sorts of un trained people working on things they have no idea about , the same with management with their ideas of making money so their bonus will increase instead of being a public good .

Off my whinge seat & back to the garden with a bit of trains in between

Cheers Tom in Oz

This part of the house is 16th century, another section is 18th, but the toll tower dates back to the 13th century
Here's a drone view.
The train room is under the darker roof which covers the 16 th century wing in the rear

wow Jacques, New Zealand's oldest building [ Kemp House } was built in 1822, and the oldest stone building [ the" Stone Store ", built by and Australian "convict" 1832-36 ] is next door, just down the road from where I live.

I see a great Hag Re 4/4 II from the factory open house in 2010 or 11. Wish I lived closer to get to more of those types of things.

Good observation!
There are a few other HAG specialties there...Wink Wink
Behind the door is essentially the "surgery" room...
The "playground" is upstairs...open space no doors , just a light signal (from the Belgian SNCV narrow gauge days) with Hp0 and Hp1 aspects, where green means "the layout is powered".
This prevents me from having to climb the stairs to check!
Cheers
