I am trying to get a grasp of CV parameters and gain some knowledge about how to play around with them. I have absolutely know exposure to what this CV is all about.

I am trying to find a good starters material into the world of CVs...May be there is something called as CVs for Dummies and I am able to find some material online. But they all seem to be for somebody who already have an advanced level of CV understanding...

Any help? I promise this will be my last post for the day.

Good night...

Hello,

DCC Wiki gives you a good dose of CV knowledge.
http://www.dccwiki.com/CV

Also, visit ESU website and download the Lokpilot V4 documentation material. It describes well how the CV's are manipulated.
http://www.esu.eu/en/downloads/instruction-manuals/digital-decoders/

In most command stations the basic settings like acceleration and speed is set by a graphical user interface. The CVs get changed, but you do it by moving a slider.

Juha
