i have 3315 loco with a blown reverse board in tender. I was considering making it digital but am now considering replacing reverse board and keep it analog. searched and found marklin electronic reverse units. they do not look the same as one in my loco. are these things loco specific or are they universal? any thoughts?

Hi, yours is an early production model, the later ones like you see on ebay or maerklin.de (614860) will work fine in your loco, they are pretty much universal for AC models.

Cheers,
Gordon

Is it this locomotive? 3315_explo.pdf (181kb) downloaded 69 time(s).

Then item 56 is the electronic reverser - The exploded drawing shows part number 602870, but the spare parts list shows 614860 and is apparently in stock at maerklin.de

Spare parts order list: Artikel 3315 - Ersatzteil-Liste.pdf (77kb) downloaded 72 time(s).

So as Gordon wrote, the 614860 should be good.

Harold.
