Hi All
yesterday I took the bull by the horns and updated my CS2 by the internet direct connection, During the update it stopped and said 'reboot needed' with a RESUME button. I was confused, if I reboot I lose the resume button, or do i push the resume button
without doing a reboot and hope it reboots itself. In the end I decided to do a manual reboot and restart the update. All ended well.

My question is - should I have just touched the RESUME button.

Tim

It would be a bit better if Marklin had a little more explanation or even a PDF manual, I could have done a major cock up

You have to click on "Quit" to shut down, you have to click on "Resume" to reboot.

No PDF manual needed, a single line of text should do: "Click 'Resume' to reboot and finalize the update" or something to that effect.

The PDF manual for updates is available in German only (you may have to copy the URL to the address field):

The manual does give an overview of the basic update sequence.
However there are differences depending on what version you are starting at.

For the more major version updates there are two stages..
1) the copy and update of files and pointers
2) the reboot and second stage "commit"

In these cases the last image shown in the document actually has a "Resume" where the "Start" is seen. This needs to be clicked to complete stage 2.

In most cases this may be the same as a manual shutdown/restart, however in others (from experience with other products) this bypasses the commit stage and may mean an incomplete update.
