Hi everybody,

I just got, directly from Germany, the KOLL'S kompakt katalog, 2016 Edition. I have the 2006 complete editions , that is the two volume's Praize editions with pictures and the kompakt edition. So I am happy with only the 2016 Kompakt since I do not have newer Markliin items beyond 2006.
The 2016 is exactly the same size as previous versions ecxept slightly thicker, almost unoticible, with 752 pages vs 528 pages of the older edition.
KOLL'S has been a great help to me. It has aided me to identify marklin locos based in the BR numbers, or to follow the family progression or evolution of similar items thru the years, to identify wheels, Couplers, sliders, bumpers, pantographs, to name a few, of various eras etc. Highly recommended to any serious marklinist.
Regards, Roberto

In single point perspective, where do track lines meet?

Hi Mark, That's me!!
I always use the on line translation tools and dictionaries. KOLL's is particularly difficult to translate because the specialized and unique terms used in railroads. You don't always get the full meaning of the phrase but every bit helps and with time and practice it gets better after a while.
