Hi everyone BigGrin

M83 is considered in the keyboard of the cs2 as a new decoder mutliple.

4 adresses by M 83 .

For example adresses CS 2 : 40-41-42-43

I want to configure a 24997 on adress 40. The icon of the 24997 appears on adress 40 of the keyboard in the place red standard, the green standard has green symbol .

It is as if 2 of the address 40 could be used as the second 24997. I stopped the configuration to ask the question .No wire is connected ( no yellow and no blue)

Thank you for your answers

I'll offer a comment anyway.

The M83 is NOT the same as a K83.

Originally for a 6040 keyboard and then the CS2 keyboard, if you held down the appropriate button the uncoupler (24997) would stay energised.
This has its advantages as you position the coupling over the ramp. And, yes, you could use both the red and green output of a single address to drive 2 devices.

With the CS2 you might even extend the on time to a couple of seconds.

This is because the controller actually sends a "begin pulse" command and then (when you lift your finger) an "end pulse" command.
The K83 pays attention to both these
The M83 only listens for the the first one (the "begin pulse") and uses its internal settings to determine if/when the stop.

I believe you need to understand what exactly you are wanting.
If you are wanting to sequence an uncoupler dance
- uncouple up
- move train (reverse etc)
- uncoupler down.
The look to use a K84/M84

Note:
Again the K84 and M84 are not the same. You may toggle an individual M84 port (e.g. red) on/off without affecting its mate (green).
Marklin have been slack and provided this "toggle" function only. In this configuration, you cannot specifically say On or Off.
