Hello Marklin and Euro MMR enthusiasts,

We will be holding meeting to swap stories, time and train material together with a cup of java.
And we will be showing some of our trains.
And the theme for the train showing will be Dutch trains! ...but not exclusively.
MichelVR will bring his portable N-scale layout with several Dutch trains.

Five people are committed to going so far.

We have a room booked in Brampton at Holland Christian Homes across from Sheridan College.
Silvano aka Baggio and I have the schedule set up like this:

12:30 to 3:30 - Swap meet, introductions etc and set up of two loops
3:30 to 5pm - Open showing of trains running to the elderly residents of HCH
5 to 5:30 - Clean up

We suggest posting a list with photos of material you would like to swap in this thread below.
Anyone confirming that they can or want to come can suggest which material to bring so you don't have to haul everything.

Its a large complex with I think more than 1000 units and three towers.
The meeting is in Providence Tower at Providence Meeting Hall.
7950 McLaughlin Rd, Brampton.... however.....
.....We will need confirmation if you want to come since we will have to wait
at the door to let you in. Normally you would buzz into the building but there is no buzzer in the meeting rooms.

PM me and I can give you my cell phone number for text messages at the time of arrival.
Best thing would be to show up at 12:30 or a time we can agree upon.
A small donation/entrance of $5 to $10 to cover expenses and rental would be helpful.

Add your swap material list and or images in this thread.
Thank you,
Mark

FYI
Added from Baggio's post:
To be clear, the event will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm.

The meeting is in Brampton:

Holland Christian Homes
Providence Tower
Providence Meeting Hall.
7950 McLaughlin Rd.
Brampton, ON

It's located west of Hurontario and just south of Steeles (Hwy 15):
Holland Christian Homes

Everyone is welcome.

Ok here are the images of my material.

The Roco set of passenger cars are each individually numbered as are the Lima Silberling.
I have 22 K-track turnouts 2271 to sell. Most in very good condition.
You can inspect any of my material at the swap meet and anything and I will give you the skinny on the goods.
I will just go ahead and post the images and then try to add a list of the numbers later.

There is more material than just in that shot.
Also if anyone is need of 70s Marklin catenary posts, go no further.

Any specific questions ahead of time, and you are free to PM me rather than post here.
If I don't swap or sell these at Brampton then I they will be available for sale, so you can get your dibs in now.
First dibs will go to attendees of the swap meet. Tongue

Would love to meet more Marklin and Euro train fans at the swap meet.
Great deals will be made. Cool

- Mark

Yes Silvano, there are two digital:
- The all red E103 and the Blue loco with four pantos [to travel across borders with other voltages] are digital!

They do all run well!
... The Borsig double mallet needs a small bolt I can show you later.
And the connecting rods in front need adjustment as they lock the front wheels that do not give traction.
I am going to look at that later this week.

I have other material which I have not posted.
The Swiss locos might have seen some cross-border service into Italy.
Almost didn't want to part with them, but I must focus on 1955 to 1965ish for now.

Again, to clarify:

I would like to buy those tin wagons of the 60's, article no. 4000. In the catalogue of that time it sold for $1.50 BigGrin (if only...).

So, if you have any in good condition, please let me know.

Thanks.

(Is anyone interested in a simple steam loco, Rivarossi, complete with box? I have one to swap/sell. Thanks).

Hi Baggio,

The coaches are in very good condition. No boxes.
Send me PM with your offer and you can inspect them personally on Nov. 28.
Do you need any of the gold and red TEE coaches too?
4085 to 4090... these are not in pristine condition though.
No Italian steamlok to swap for them? Wink

Hello Peet,

I likely have as many catenary posts as you may need. Also 60ish Vollmer tower posts and standard posts.
How soon do you need them? I have yet to decide if will go all the way with Sommerfeldt stuff that I got with a deal.
When and if I decide I may also part with a very nice collection of wires, some unused, some with a nice patina... which is my personal preference.
Best to PM me with what you are looking for.

Hello Baggio,

Yes, my daughter runs them on the Mädchenbahn. I asked if she wanted to sell them, she said, "No way"... they were part of her first train set.
We are planning to put lighting and people in them since the windows are all open it gets breezy in there, so it will have to be for people hanging with arms out of the windows on a summer train. Wink

Waiting to see your list of swap goods.
Anything?

Hello, Mark:

I have a Rivarossi 2 rail steamer that I could part with. I was just running it now and it's in good shape.

There is Marklin digital little diesel loco from the construction starter set set that has a light on top. A very good runner, fast.

There is a two-piece tram set with some lights (flickering) inside, 2 rail.

Possibly a nice Marklin My World electric loco; the pantographs cannot be raised and is missing a little bumber (you won't notice it). Both as a result of an accident on the layout. Looks very nice, but not fast (like most Marklin locos).

Possibly one or two long passenger wagons, Marklin.

There may be more, I am not sure. I am a pack rat and tend to get attached to things. Blushing

As for the tin wagons, I would not want to take them from your daughters. I'll keep looking.

Would anybody be interested in the classic C-track C3 and C4 extension sets,
Marklin number 24903 and 24904

Track is complete and in good condition except that one of the switches has a joiner tab broken off.
I have used this before and connects and works fine, and would continue to be work fine if you plan to fix the track down to a layout board.
No extra wires or insulators in the sets as indicated in the photos below. Boxes do have tops and in sturdy condition.

C4-extension-set.jpg

Should I bring them to the Swap meet?
