I am curious too. Apparently ESU has an engineering edition of this as well. I asked my dealer to look into getting it.

Is there not a difference between Voith and Vossloh? Vossloh makes the G2000 as shown in your avatar....?

One warning about Brawas Gravita!
The lighting effect are extremely too strong!
I suggest ESU instead.

Newer decoders do have the ability to adjust brightness. It involves a little more advanced programming but the ESU decoder manual is clear on how you adjust it.
Not sure if BRAWA uses ESU decoders....

As soon as ESU started to make its own locomotives, the deal with BRAWA ended.

Now BRAWA uses Doehler & Haass decoders.

I do not know Doehler & Haass decoders and if they are good.

I liked decoders ESU. I do not know if Brawa made an error by leaving ESU, but I shall see of what before buying Brawa.

I have resently bought myself a brawa Bombardier traxx 186. Unfortunatley the expearance was not a good one. First putting aside the detail you get with Brawa which is quite brilliant. The issue started with when you want to shunt a train through a curved point. You get buffer lok and the wagon derails. This can be soughted if you work at it. But the main issue was running quality on Marklin track. The pick up slider is very weak. It is made of very thin metal, which is easily bent. Not like the Marklin sliders which are thick metal. The result is that the loco will stop and start, on track which has been cleaned and tested with a 30 year old Marklin design which runs at a very slow pace(useing a new decoder+motor parts) I think the issue is that it just is not heavy enough + the slider design which also has a very week spring.
Putting that issue to one side. The sound decoder(Zimo i think) was the best i have ever heard in a loco. It is every bit just like a reel Traxx. I have sent it back to the supplier for an exchange. If there is an issue with an exchange i will use the decoder and some details to add to a Marklin hobby Traxx. An expensive mistake, and im a bit red faced about it as i spent time at the Marklin UK meeting at Nigels house saying how pleased i was with it. I had not tested it properly yet as i thought it would not run because of dirty track. Just goes to show. Stick with what you knowBlink Confused but it is still a reel shame as the model as a model is a very good one, until you run it expecting it to behave like a MarklinBigGrin
