Hi All,

I'm in the process of converting a batch of old analog locos and also upgrade some with old 6080 decoders, using ESU lokpilot V4.

My question is about the lights, and more specifically about which LED's to use for bulb replacement ?

I know some of you have already done it, so would you mind to tell me the LED type and reference (if possible) you have used for such conversions ?

I'm interested in warm white LEDs and red LEDs. There are so many references in the "LED world" that I'm a bit lost.

Any pointer would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers
Fabrice

Hi Fabrice,
You may use this kind of led that already includes the resistance for 18V use. I think there are several types of lamp base available.

Hey, those really will be ideal for fitting to older locos with the individual bulbs. Somebody thought 'outside the box' there.
