Hi there
I have a CS2 complete with PC and I downloaded the Marklin PC software that appears to emulate the CS2

It seems to work well as a throttle controller and I have it communicating
However, If I click on the PC and switch to the "switches" screen I cannot change the position of the switches on the PC
I can on the CS2 and it shows the corresponding setting on the PC screen
Is this designed this way

Any guidance or thought appreciated

thanks
Andrew

I do know that it may take a few restarts for the computer to get all the stuff loaded across.
I had to do it 3 times on my new computer to get the loks and layouts loaded correctly and operating from the PC.
If that does not help, then try ensuring that the CS2 is updated. There was a recent update.

Hi
thanks for the reply
To help other people whom may experience a similar issue

The fix based on the response provided is as follows

1. Ensure the Central station is running
2. Start up the Marklin Desktop software
You should see some communication between the CS and desktop software
3. Ensure you can control a train with the throttle on the desktop software
4. Switch to the Layout screen on the desktop software
5. Attempt to change a switch or other device.
If no success. Then
6. On the Central Station - PRESS THE "STOP" BAR - Red light comes on
Wait for about 5 seconds
Then
Press the "STOP" BAR AGAIN - Red light goes off
7. Go back to the Desktop software
Go back to Step 4 and retry

This worked for me
But you need to do this every time you start up the software

Hope this helps

cheers
Andrew
